How to Make Denim Pocket Organizer
It only takes three things to create this very simple project!

There’s no denying that denim is a wardrobe staple. It’s versatile, comfortable, and always fashionable. Denim is perfect for any occasion, whether you’re dressing up or dressing down. But why is denim so popular?

There are a few reasons. For one, denim is incredibly versatile. It can be dressed up or down, making it perfect for any occasion. Denim is also comfortable, which is important for busy people who don’t have time to fuss with their clothes. And finally, denim never goes out of style. It’s a classic fabric that always looks good.

Denim garments remain popular in part due to their extraordinary durability. A high-quality pair of jeans can last for years – or even decades – and they look, fit, and feel better as they age, which adds to their appeal.

I join the ranks of the majority of people who keep their old denim even if they’re no longer being used. I can’t quite explain why, but I find it hard to let go of them. Maybe it’s the sentimental value – each pair of jeans has its own story. Or maybe it’s the practical value – you never know when you might need an old pair of jeans for a DIY project. Whatever the reason, I keep them close – even if I never wear them again.

To relieve myself of the guilt of keeping them, I decided to make DIYs one summer. I converted my denim jeans into shorts while using the excess material in making a tote bag. Since I still have some left, I looked for other ideas on what to do with them. I came across a project that turned denim pockets into a mini-organizer.

It's hitting two birds with one stone: you re-purpose old jeans and also organize your stuff!

Steps to make a denim pocket organizer:

Since our needed materials for this particular project are so easy to have, we can start it right away! To make your own DIY denim pocket organizer, you’ll need to start by taking your inner hoops apart and covering the pocket of the jean. Next, use sharp scissors to cut the jeans right outside the inner hoops.

To make your cut jeans look more finished and professional, you can use a method called “hooping.” Hooping involves taking the inner hoop on the back side of the cut jeans and securing it with the other hoop. Once you have tightened the hoop, you can then trim off the excess part of the jeans. This will give your cut jeans a more polished and finished look.

Finally, you can hang this pocket organizer on your wall and keep your small items organized and within reach. You can use it to store anything from coins and pens to scissors and keys. The pockets are clear, so you can easily see what’s inside, and the durable material means it will last for years.
