What’s your idea of a great way to relax outdoors? To most, it could be as simple as sitting on a comfortable chair with a convenient place for some drinks and snacks. However, there are many ways to relax outdoors, and what works for one person might not work for another. Some people prefer to read or listen to music outdoors, while others might enjoy playing sports or games.
For those who love DIY projects, there’s an extra treat in store as we shift our attention from interior design to outdoor spaces. Warmer months mean the chance to sit in the sunshine and enjoy cooking and eating meals with family and friends.
With a little creativity, your outdoor space can be transformed into a stylish and inviting area for entertaining. And we think about ways to make an already pleasant experience even better. Here are some tips for making the most of your outdoor space this summer.
A double chair bench with storage table! What do you think? If this is also one of the things you enjoy doing after a long day or during weekends, then here’s a piece of DIY furniture you might want to add to your home!
There's room for two friends to kick back and relax. A pair of cup holders are perfect for cold drinks on warm days. The high-quality, weather-resistant construction will keep this cute lounger looking good through all the seasons.
This furniture item is a chair bench for two with a ‘table’ in the middle for your drinks or books. It can be made of any timber of your choice, as long as it is weather resistant! You can purchase new cedar timber for a bench that will last a long time.
But if you want to keep expenses to a minimum, you can use pallets or other reclaimed timber instead. If you choose to go for the second option, make sure to pick timber that is still in good condition – with no cracks and decay.
You can install hinges at the back of the ‘table’ and attach additional support on the base frame under it to create room for a cooler. A cooler will allow you to keep your drinks cold for extended periods of time, without having to worry about them getting warm.
This DIY double chair bench with storage table project can be finished in just one day if all the tools and materials listed below are available. With a little bit of effort and some basic woodworking knowledge, you can easily build your own double chair bench with storage table. This project is perfect for those who are new to woodworking, as it requires only basic tools and materials.
