Chicken runs are important as chicken coops for chickens for a few reasons. First, they provide a space for chickens to move around and exercise. This is important for their physical health and well-being. Second, chicken runs allow chickens to forage for food.
This is important for their mental health and well-being, as it provides them with stimulation and a sense of purpose. Finally, chicken runs help to protect chickens from predators. This is important for their safety and security.
Would you like a chicken run or pen that you can ‘store’ when you don’t need it? Why not build a collapsible chicken run? A collapsible chicken run can be a great asset for any chicken farmer. Not only does it provide a safe space for your chickens to roam and exercise, but it can also be easily stored away when not in use. This makes it a perfect solution for those who may not have a lot of space on their farm for a traditional chicken coop.

This is an easy project, even though it has a few hinged components. The hinges are the key to its convenient size when stored. Make sure to follow the instructions carefully when measuring and attaching the hinges – if they’re not installed properly, the project won’t work as intended. With a bit of patience and attention to detail, anyone can complete this project successfully.
It’s lightweight and compact when folded – perfect to keep your backyard clear when you don’t need it! There are no complicated measurements needed to make sure everything fits perfectly in order to fold properly.
It simply works like an accordion where the sides do not overlap when fully collapsed. All you need to keep in mind is to have your hinges installed in the right orientation so that the ‘panels’ will fold, well, in the right direction. 😉

These chicken runs can be used in many ways. You can use them with lids on, or even without lids – whichever way suits your needs best. The lids can also be used on their own if you prefer. This versatility makes them ideal for small-scale farmers who want to be able to adapt their chicken runs to their ever-changing needs.
Just by looking at the photos below, one can already figure out how simple this collapsible chicken run works and how easy it is to build! If you want to know even more about this DIY project, head over to the link provided below the album. 🙂
