These flower pot heaters are functional and decorative in nature.

When you think of versatile project materials, flower pots don’t really come to mind, do they? Flower pots are a great way to add some colour and life to your home. They can be used to display flowers, plants, and other greenery both indoors and outdoors. Flower pots come in a variety of colours, sizes, and materials, so you can find the perfect one to fit your style. To most of us, they seem purely decorative.

To Ben Galt, though, they’re so much more. What he does with them in this video really is genius, and we guarantee you’ll never guess how handy it’ll be this winter. He made a heater out of these flower pots.
Not only does this video show how to make the heater, but Galt also provides excellent commentary on why this particular design is so effective.

He explains that the pots are a great material to use because they’re durable and good at retaining heat. This makes them perfect for use as a space heater in a home or office. Pots can be a great way to heat up a room because they hold heat well. This is due to their durable nature – they don’t heat up and cool down as quickly as other materials. This means that these pot heaters can be a great way to save on energy costs in the long run.

Aside from its heating function, this pot heater also makes a great decoration! You can have fun making this yourself, or if you’re feeling generous, make several and give them away as presents. This is a great way to add a personal touch to your home décor or to give a unique and thoughtful gift to someone special.

You may have seen other variations of this pot heater project before that work fine. However, if you want to use them in the longer term, chances are they might get too hot and could damage the furniture they’re sitting on (a table or a wooden countertop perhaps). That is why this project design is great as it hangs on the stand rather than sitting on top of a base.

‘By suspending it in the air, the hot base never comes in contact with your furniture. This also allows you to adjust for different size candles, and spin the base around to nake putting the candles in much easier. Another benefit of the adjustable base height is efficiency. By raising the base, you are able to minimize heat loss and at the same time allow just enough oxygen in tho keep the candles burning.’

‘And best of all it looks great which means you’re more likely to leave it on the display and therefore you’ll use it more’
