Some of the most used – and abused – secret storage areas are flower pots and rugs. Most homeowners are guilty of hiding a copy of the front door key under them. It’s common knowledge; even a crook knows where to look. I fail to see how it’s still called a “’secret” when almost everyone knows about it.
The key to an effective secret storage is its ability to blend in. It should be conspicuous and “innocent” enough so as not to stand out. That’s why I really liked this idea of an under the fish tank hiding place. It can be used to store money or items you wouldn’t want other people to see.
This DIY project is nothing fancy, nothing grand. You can even make this using reclaimed materials that you have lying around. It requires basic woodworking skills, too. So if you have a fish tank at home or in the office, get to work. Build this DIY fish tank secret hiding place today.
