What’s special about this DIY Nomad bookshelf desk is that it’s very easy to disassemble when you’re moving to a new location – making it the perfect solution for those who are constantly on the move. The desk is also lightweight and easily portable, so you can take it with you wherever you go.

The DIY Nomad bookshelf is the ultimate ‘flat pack’ because it’s built using mortise and tenon joints. That means that there’s no need to use screws or bolts during assembly – making it very sturdy once complete. It’s a great project for anyone who’s handy with woodwork, and the end result is a stylish and unique piece of furniture.

Another great advantage of this DIY Nomad bookshelf desk is that it integrates bookshelves. This is perfect if you’re short on space, as it allows you to keep all your books and materials in one place. Having everything you need in one place can make working more efficient and convenient.

The shelves will be installed using mortise and tenon joints. The small wood blocks will serve as the fasteners to keep the shelves in place. This will ensure that the shelves are sturdy and will not come loose over time. See the picture.

The desk on the other hand is attached to one of the shelves that has your desired table height. There should be moldings attached to the side of the shelf piece that would serve to secure the desk in place once installed. A closer view of this detail is shown in one of the photos below.
